Emily Campbell
Secretary and Director
As an independent child welfare consultant and licensed social worker, Emily occasionally works with the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families to conduct child welfare reviews of county-based human service agencies. She is also a part-time trainer for the UW-Madison sponsored Southern Child Welfare Training Partnership. Emily is the co-chair of the marketing and outreach committee, and a member of the special events committee, and the grants committee. She is always looking for opportunities to engage people in supporting public libraries. A mother of three, she is an active volunteer in her neighborhood and in the schools in which her two children attend. She is also happily married to Richard, a native of Scotland, whom she met during an extensive period living abroad.
Emily is a member of the Madison Public Library Foundation Board of Directors because she believes that a strong library system is emblematic of a strong community. "The success of our community is dependent on citizens having free and equal access to information and technology. Libraries provide public spaces that connect people to information and ideas."
