Share Your Story With MPL
by Tana Elias, Web Resources Coordinator
Madison Public Library is looking for stories of how the library has improved the community and had a significant impact on the lives of library users. Madison Public Library, in partnership with the South Central Library System (SCLS), is involved in a project called “Libraries for Real Life” to collect and share the stories of library users in the seven counties served by SCLS (Adams, Columbia, Dane, Green, Portage, Sauk and Wood). “Libraries for Real Life” communicates the reality that today’s public libraries are vibrant, dynamic community resources that meet the informational, educational, and recreational needs of library users of all ages. SCLS and its member libraries have created a website to begin sharing these stories – www.librariesforreallife.org. Stories can be shared by completing either the online form or a paper form, available at all Madison Public Library locations. Some of these stories may be shared publicly through print advertisements, library brochures, online videos, or other media efforts. Please consider sharing your library story with us today.
