Elizabeth Moon Proctor Scholarship Award Winner

I feel very honored to be the recipient of the Elizabeth Moon Proctor Scholarship Award this year.  If it weren’t for my rewarding experiences working at the Madison Public Library, I probably wouldn’t be pursuing a masters degree in library science at all, so receiving this award from the MPL Foundation and the family of Elizabeth Moon Proctor is especially meaningful. 

I’m so grateful for this support and encouragement as I complete my degree. I’m very glad to have a position at Madison Public Library that allows me to exercise my new knowledge and skills while I’m still a student. I’m so excited to be at the beginning of a career that allows me to help people and be surrounded by books at the same time – I can’t imagine anything better!
