Groundbreaking Ceremony for New South Madison Branch March 27

Join us on Friday, March 27, at 11:00 a.m. at 2200 S. Park Street for the launch of the Villager Redevelopment Project, including the official groundbreaking for the new Atrium and for a separate building shared by the Urban League of Greater Madison, the new South Madison Branch of the Madison Public Library, and Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin.

Mayor David Cieslewicz and members of the Community Development Authority will be present for the official launch. Noted social entrepreneur Alfred Babington-Johnson will speak at the groundbreaking of the building for the Urban League of Greater Madison. A community reception will follow.

The South Madison Branch Library will expand from 3,200 square feet to 12,000 square feet and will inhabit the first floor of a two-story building owned by the Urban League of Greater Madison. The Urban League will be headquartered on the second floor. The building serves as the anchor for the Villager Redevelopment Project.

Share your input at one of our community planning meetings at the South Madison Branch, 2222 S. Park Street, on Tuesday, April 7, 6 - 8 p.m., and Tuesday, May 12, 6 - 8 p.m. Can't make it to one of the meetings? Share your ideas online.
