Goodstock 2008 Award
The Madison Public Library Foundation was proud to be chosen as a participant in the fourth annual Goodstock hosted by Knupp & Watson, a Madison-based strategic communications agency. Knupp & Watson views Goodstock as 24 hours of love and advertising by bringing non-profits and marketing/art directors together for a 24 hour period to develop marketing tools that benefit the participants of the Goodstock program. According to Terrie Goren, the Foundation's Executive Director, “It was a whirlwind of activity, as we worked together over the 24 hour period to bring the best of marketing to the Madison Public Library Foundation. It was incredible to be a part of this project along with nine other worthwhile non-profit organizations in Dane County, each unique in its mission while providing much needed programs and services to the community.” A hearty thank you to Andy Wallman, Jack Ferreri, and the staff of Knupp & Watson for providing this annual program. Knupp & Watson understands the importance that non-profits play in the community by taking time out of their busy work schedules to provide this service to the community. “It was a special opportunity to dream big about how to get a message out...and to have that dream come to fruition is an exceptional rarity”, said Goren. During the 24 hours, Knupp & Watson created a full color brochure and a television advertisement for the Foundation. Watch for them in 2009! Thank you to the following television stations who have donated airtime to Goodstock; WKOW-TV, WMSN-TV, Madison’s CW, My Madison TV, and Charter Communications.
