Madison Public Library: History and Future

Have you seen the soon-to-open new Sequoya Branch Library? Heard about plans for a new South Madison Branch in a completely revamped Villager Mall? How about the vision for a grand new nine-story structure at Mifflin & Fairchild, housing a 115,000 square foot Central Library? The Madison Public Library Foundation aims high, and climbs far: these dreams are all progressing towards reality. Interested in how we got here? On Wednesday, October 15, from 5 - 6:30 p.m. at the Central Library, Terrie Goren, director of the Madison Public Library Foundation, presents the video The History of the Madison Public Library, written and narrated by local author and historian Stuart Levitan. Please join us for this event, part of the Wisconsin Book Festival.
